Guest Toastie 04: Gurdeep Loyal’s Korean Tuna & Pickled Ginger Melt
The Drop and Two Drops are thrilled to welcome their next guest toastie: the ‘Korean Tuna & Pickled Ginger Melt’ by award-winning author, columnist and flavour aficionado Gurdeep Loyal.
Running from Tuesday 3rd June to Tuesday 5th August, this boldly flavoured, umami-rich, chilli-cheesy toastie is straight from the pages of Gurdeep’s hotly anticipated new cookbook, ‘Flavour Heroes’ (published on 19th June 2025, Quadrille).
The toastie is his playful reimagining of the classic tuna melt, amped up with gochujang (one of Gurdeep’s 15 ‘flavour heroes’), spring onion, pickled ginger and crunchy radish, grilled until golden and oozing with melted cheese. A taste sensation built for deep comfort and thrillingly tasty enjoyment.
