Fizz, Tikka & a Chaat Drop-In
From 6pm, The Drop will host a casual and un-ticketed Fizz, Tikka & a Chaat night at Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross. Our head chef Karan Ghosh will be serving traditional North Indian street food, including chicken tikka skewers, lamb kofta and ragda pattice – mashed potato cakes, topped with a traditional stew of spiced chickpeas. Help yourselves to raita, mint chutney and tamarind chutney.
The Drop-In will feature a carefully selected list of alternative sparkling wines. We believe that contrary to popular belief, the acidity and sweetness in certain sparkling wines can provide the perfect match for spicy street food dishes. Each bottle has been chosen to highlight lesser known regions and small producers of sparkling wine, far from your typical Champagnes that are more often popped. The Drop’s list will include a floral, fruity Austrian Pet Nat from Fuchs und Hase; the Malibran Sottoriva – a unique, unfiltered Prosecco; and the elegant Sextant L’Ecume, a lightly sparkling, juicy and lively red. Others from Portugal, Spain and France will also feature. Drop in and try wines by the glass or bottle.
