Guest Toastie 07: DabbaDrop’s Bombay Toastie with Green & Mango Chutney

The Drop and Two Drops are excited to announce a special toastie collaboration with pioneering sustainable food delivery brand, DabbaDrop. Founders, Anshu Ahuja and Renée Williams have created a Bombay Toastie with Green & Mango Chutney.

Available from Monday 5th January to Saturday 28th February, this toastie, a twist on the popular Indian street food snack and a favourite of the DabbaDrop team, is the perfect January warmer. Thinly sliced roasted beetroot and potato are layered onto sourdough with fresh green chutney and a choice of either Juraregal (cow’s milk) or vegan cheese. Toasted until gooey and fragrant, it is served with a pot of DabbaDrop’s mango chutney, one you’ll often find in one of their dabba tins. Anshu Ahuja says:

“January doesn’t need punishment food – it needs food with balance and soul. A Bombay sandwich does that beautifully. It’s fresh, spiced, comforting and light all at once, built from simple ingredients that just work together – coriander, beets, green chilli, cheese – all toasted perfectly in a sourdough. For me, it’s a lovely reminder that nourishment doesn’t have to mean restriction, it can still be joyful.”
