Guest Toastie 09: Welsh Rarebit Special by Berwyn Davies, Executive Chef of El Pastor, The Drop and Two Drops

The Drop and Two Drops are excited to announce the next guest chef toastie in their series, marking the appointment of Berwyn Davies as Executive Chef of El Pastor, The Drop and Two Drops.

Available from Friday 1st May to Tuesday 30th June, Welsh native Berwyn, introduces his take on a Welsh rarebit – made with Guinness and Henderson’s Relish for extra depth.

“I’m a big believer that simple food, done properly, is hard to beat. Welsh rarebit is one of those dishes – nostalgic, rich and properly comforting. Adding Guinness and Henderson’s Relish just deepens everything and makes it a bit more indulgent. It’s the kind of thing I’d always want to eat with a pint” – Berwyn Davies

To celebrate Berwyn joining the team at Harts Group, Two Drops will be pairing the Welsh rarebit with a glass of Harts Bros Albariño priced at £15 (usually £19 total) for May and June.

With over 20 years’ experience in some of London’s most respected kitchens, including a Michelin star at just 26 at The Glasshouse in Kew, he brings a breadth of culinary experience to the role to lead the kitchen teams at El Pastor, The Drop & Two Drops.
