Oktoberfest Drop-In: German Wine, Beer & Bratwurst

‘Drop-In’ on the 22nd of October from 6pm, for an unticketed Drop-In event, a nod to Oktoberfest with German Wine, Bratwurst & Beer.

On the night, Head Chef Karan Ghosh, will be grilling bratwurst sausages (pork and a vegetarian) on the Green Egg, alongside sauerkraut, potatoes and a selection of pickles, mustard and sauces. Yes, there will be currywurst. For pudding, a traditional Kaiserschmarrn, pancakes broken into small pieces, with cherries.

The Drop-In will feature a carefully selected list of German wine, primarily from the mineral-rich soils surrounding the rivers Rhine and Moselle. The list will include two bottles from Andreas Bender, a well-rounded yet sharp Weissburgunder with hints of stone fruit, and an unusually gamey Pinot Noir, almost Burgundian in style with a touch of spice; a deliciously dry, crisp Riesling from the historic vines of Koehler Ruprecht; as well as Melsheimer’s Sparkling Riesling, light and elegant but with a depth typical of Mosel wines. Wines will be available by the glass or bottle.  There will also be a special German guest beer on the menu for the night.
